Lenin Heads to OTT After Blockbuster Box Office Run

After emerging as one of Akhil Akkineni's biggest box-office successes, Lenin is now gearing up for its OTT debut. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and starring Bhagyashri Borse alongside Akhil, the film released in theatres on July 10 and quickly recovered its investment. Produced by Annapurna Studios, Sithara Entertainments and Manam Enterprises LLP, the film also featured Shivaji, Rajeev Kanakala, Brahmaji and Sunil in key roles.

Made on a reported budget of around ₹55 crore, Lenin secured a strong non-theatrical business valued at nearly ₹34 crore. Zee5 reportedly acquired the digital and satellite rights for about ₹19 crore. While trade estimates placed the worldwide gross at around ₹80 crore, the makers officially announced that the film crossed the ₹100 crore mark, making it Akhil's first film to achieve the milestone before its digital release.
