The device has already been introduced in China, where its reported starting price was CNY 7,999, roughly ₹1.05 lakh at the cited conversion. The international version is expected to offer 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage. Reported colour options include Prism Black and Nebula Teal.

The hardware package is designed around a large 8.02-inch internal foldable display and a 6.51-inch cover screen. The phone is also tipped to use a Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.

Context and Official Statements

Photography is expected to be one of the major selling points. Reports point to a 200MP primary rear camera accompanied by a ZEISS APO-certified periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. But there is a clear consumer hurdle: price. If the Indian model crosses ₹1.5 lakh, the phone enters a segment where buyers are likely to compare it not only with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold line but also with Vivo's own conventional flagship alternatives. At that level, durability, hinge reliability, software support, repair costs and trade-in value matter almost as much as specifications.

The October launch window will therefore be important. If Vivo confirms the reported specifications and pairs them with aggressive launch offers, the X Fold 6 could make the foldable category more practical for power users. Until the company confirms Indian pricing and availability, however, the headline specifications should be treated as reported information rather than final purchase specifications.
