Chandrashekar Rao had worked extensively for the Mamunoor Airport project, while BRS representatives had met the Prime Minister and Union Civil Aviation Ministers on multiple occasions. He said he was sending Revanth Reddy photographs, videos and news reports documenting those meetings and earlier efforts.

At the same time, Vinod Kumar did not deny the current Chief Minister’s involvement. He said Revanth Reddy has a role in the project in his capacity as Chief Minister, but objected to presenting the airport’s progress as the achievement of only the present administration.

The proposed name is also significant. Rani Rudrama Devi is closely associated with the Kakatiya heritage of the Warangal region, giving the naming demand a cultural dimension beyond the political dispute.
