The Paradise Box Office Day 3: Nani Film Crosses ₹100 Crore

Nani and director Srikanth Odela’s The Paradise has crossed the ₹100 crore worldwide box-office milestone within its opening run. After a sizeable Friday decline, the action drama showed a modest recovery on Saturday, September 26, collecting ₹15.25 crore net in India.

According to the reported Day 3 figures, The Paradise earned ₹15.25 crore net from 6,889 shows across India. That was around 2.3% higher than Friday’s ₹14.90 crore.

The film’s cumulative India net collection consequently reached ₹76.40 crore after three days, including its paid-premiere collections.

The day-wise India net figures reported so far are:

Day 0 — September 23: ₹11.60 crore

Day 1 — September 24: ₹34.65 crore

Day 2 — September 25: ₹14.90 crore

Day 3 — September 26: ₹15.25 crore

Total India net: ₹76.40 crore

The numbers show that The Paradise had its strongest regular theatrical day on Thursday before suffering a sharp decline on Friday. Saturday brought some stability, although the collection remained substantially below its opening-day level.

The Telugu version continued to drive the film’s business on Day 3. It contributed ₹13.35 crore net from 3,617 shows and registered overall occupancy of 46.1%.

The Hindi version contributed ₹1.65 crore from 2,809 shows, while the Tamil version collected ₹0.25 crore from 463 shows.

Hyderabad remained one of the film’s strongest major markets. Telugu occupancy in the city was reported at 63.3% across 734 shows, rising from 43% in the morning to 77% during night shows.

The worldwide total requires some context because two different figures are circulating.

Trade-based reports cited a worldwide gross of approximately ₹119.50 crore after three days, based on an India gross of around ₹90.50 crore and overseas earnings of roughly ₹29 crore.

The makers of The Paradise, however, announced a higher worldwide figure of ₹136 crore gross for the same three-day period.

This ₹16.5 crore difference means the two numbers should not be presented as interchangeable. The ₹136 crore figure is the producer-announced collection, while approximately ₹119-120 crore represents the trade-tracked estimate being reported by multiple publications.

Even using the lower trade estimate, The Paradise has crossed the ₹100 crore worldwide milestone.

The performance is also significant for Nani because reported worldwide figures put The Paradise around or above the lifetime worldwide business attributed to his previous major releases such as HIT: The Third Case and Dasara.

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is set against 1980s Secunderabad and follows the struggle of a marginalised community fighting for recognition and rights. The film stars Nani alongside Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal.

Nani has also publicly responded to the mixed reception surrounding the film, acknowledging both audience appreciation and criticism of the movie.

The biggest takeaway from Day 3 is not simply that The Paradise has crossed ₹100 crore worldwide, but that its Saturday business stopped the steep decline seen on Friday.

The ₹15.25 crore Saturday India net collection represents only modest growth over Friday’s ₹14.90 crore, so the film has not returned to its opening-day pace. However, Telugu occupancy remains comparatively strong and continues to provide the bulk of domestic revenue.

Readers should also distinguish between producer and trade numbers. The makers’ ₹136 crore announcement is considerably higher than the approximately ₹119.50 crore trade estimate. Until final reconciled figures become available, Krihaa considers it more accurate to report both numbers with their sources rather than present either as an undisputed total.
