The original Tamil version has been cleared by the CBFC with a U/A certificate and is scheduled to release on October 1.

The title problem had surfaced earlier in the week. Reports from TeluguOne, ABP Live and TV9 Telugu stated that the title Sanchari was already registered with the Telugu Film Chamber by filmmaker Chandra Siddhartha under his Filmotsav banner for a future project. The reports said the development created uncertainty over whether the Nivin Pauly-Soori film could continue using the same Telugu title.

That earlier title concern has now translated into an actual postponement of the Telugu version. The new date has not yet been announced. Importantly, the available reports indicate a delay in the Telugu release rather than cancellation of the film’s Telugu theatrical plans. The Tamil release is separately scheduled for October 1.

The timing makes the situation unusual. Promotional material, theatre allocation and audience communication had already been built around October 1, meaning any title change or new release date will require the Telugu team to reset part of its market campaign.
