The figures being compiled for Telangana show the scale of the exercise. According to the report, notices had been generated for 92,87,577 voters, with 85.46 lakh reportedly served notices by September 25. Around 38 lakh had appeared for hearings, while nearly 47 lakh had not appeared at that point.

The Telangana Congress has separately demanded greater transparency in the process, including detailed information on discrepancies, Form-6 applications and voter restorations. TPCC spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin said Revanth Reddy would take these concerns to the CWC.
