Adivi Sesh, who made a mark in the spy genre with Goodachari, is now returning as a spy with its sequel G2. The film, which has been in production for some time, has officially locked February 5, 2027, as its theatrical release date. Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi is making his directorial debut with the project.
G2 is jointly produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Abhishek Agarwal and Anil Sunkara under People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts and AK Entertainments. Wamiqa Gabbi joins Adivi Sesh as Agent 116, while Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi plays a key role. Supriya Yarlagadda reprises her role from Goodachari, with Murali Sharma and Madhushalini also appearing in important roles.
The makers are mounting G2 on an international scale, with high-octane action sequences and extensive production work. The team has indicated that the film will present a fresh approach to the spy genre in Indian cinema through its story and action. Expectations surrounding the sequel remain high following the success of Goodachari.
