US Moves to Revoke Citizenship of 25 People

- 1The US Department of Justice has filed denaturalisation complaints against 25 naturalised American citizens between July 20 and August 3, alleging they obtained or retained citizenship through fraud, concealment or other unlawful conduct.
- 2Among them is 65-year-old Indian-origin Narinder Singh from Delaware, who is accused of using multiple identities to enter the United States and later becoming a US citizen in 2008.
- 3The complaints also involve individuals from 16 other countries facing allegations including identity fraud, attempted murder, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, marriage fraud, passport fraud, financial fraud and practising medicine without a licence.According to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, the latest cases bring the Justice Department's total denaturalisation filings to 123 since January 2025 as the Trump administration expands immigration enforcement.
