Ahead of the prestigious Telangana Rising Global Summit in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s ambitious Future City, the government has proposed naming the road that leads to the US Consulate Office in Hyderabad after former US President Donald Trump. Revanth Reddy announced that his government is considering assigning distinctive names to various notable landmarks across Hyderabad. Under another proposal, the government intends to name the new 100-metre Greenfield Radial Road — which connects the Nehru Outer Ring Road at Raviryala with the proposed Future City — after industrialist Ratan Tata. The Raviryala interchange has already been designated “Tata Interchange.” Regarding the proposed renaming of the consulate road to “Donald Trump’s Avenue,” the state government plans to write soon to the Union Ministry of External Affairs and the US Embassy to seek prior approval.
