Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh on August 1, marking a major milestone for aviation infrastructure in North Andhra. Calling it a warning sign for the BJP-led government, he questioned how ordinary citizens would manage rising fuel-related expenses if affluent motorists themselves are compelled to use significantly costlier alternatives to protect their vehicles.

A fresh controversy has emerged at the Srisailam Temple after differences surfaced between Endowments Commissioner Ramachandra Mohan and the Temple Trust Board over the proposed ₹19 crore Salu Mandapam project. According to the Trust Board, the proposal was unanimously rejected twice. However, the Commissioner is said to have directed officials to proceed with the tender process using his discretionary powers, following which the temple Executive Officer initiated the tenders.

The Trust Board has maintained that priority should instead be given to essential facilities for pilgrims, including a queue complex, public amenities complex and additional toilets. Questioning the decision to move ahead with the Salu Mandapam project despite the Board's resolution, Srisailam Temple Chairman has written an open letter to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, raising concerns over the Commissioner's functioning and seeking intervention.

Delhi Police have denied social media reports claiming that Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) president Abhijit Deepke was arrested during ongoing protests in the national capital. Police officials clarified that Deepke remains at the Jantar Mantar protest site and has neither been detained nor taken into custody. They urged citizens to avoid believing or sharing unverified information circulating online.

The Cockroach Janata Party also issued a statement confirming that its president had not been arrested. The clarification comes after rumours spread rapidly across social media, prompting both the police and the party to issue official responses. Authorities have once again appealed to the public to rely only on verified information and avoid forwarding false claims.

The Central Government has informed Parliament that Telangana received ₹13,725.29 crore under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) between 2020–21 and 2026–27. Responding to questions raised by Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao, the Centre also stated that 410 young people from Telangana applied for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme through the My Bharat portal. Union Minister Harsh Malhotra said nearly 98,000 youth across India have shown interest in the programme.

The internship scheme aims to equip young people with industry exposure, practical experience and employable skills to improve career opportunities. In a separate written reply, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary detailed Telangana's annual SASCI allocations, including ₹4,208.83 crore in 2025–26 and ₹1,767.90 crore released so far in 2026–27. The figures underline continued central support for capital investment and youth-focused development initiatives in the state.
